Japanese Influence on Global Supply Chain Technology: From Lean to AI

Boston Strategies International President and Chairman David Steven Jacoby will present to the Japan Society on the topic of Japanese Influence on Global Supply Chain Technology. The presentation will start with a historical overview of Japanese Leadership in Supply Chain Management Theory including Total Quality Management, the Toyota Production System, Lean & Six Sigma. It will then explore Japan’s Experience with Supply Chain Resilience, including tools for measuring and managing supply chain risk. In the third part of the expose, Mr. Jacoby will explain Japan’s current role in Digital Supply Chain Management, Electrification, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence in global supply chains. The session will wrap up with an outlook and forecast for Challenges and Opportunities Ahead, particularly related to Productivity, Jobs, and Education in Japan and its trading partners such as the United States and EU nations.
