Careers at BSI
The entry level position, for college graduates, is Associate. If you are just getting your MBA, you will most likely be applying for the Senior Associate position. After direct project experience, Senior Associates progress to Managers, where they are responsible for entire engagements. Managers become Principals, then Directors, then Vice Presidents, based on their ability to lead teams, build intellectual capital, and help major accounts achieve extraordinary results.
The firm’s culture is entrepreneurial. Consultants progress along their career paths according to their skill, not their age. Project teams consist of a veteran client officer, an experienced engagement manager, and a combination of Associates and/or Research Associates. This structure facilitates not only successful project execution but also knowledge transfer and training from senior to junior consultants.
We place a heavy emphasis on continuous improvement through goal-setting, 360 degree performance evaluations, quarterly peer reviews, and annual skills assessments. These structures allow junior consultants to progress quicker than in other firms, since they are given increased responsibility as soon as they demonstrate the competence to do the work. Technological competence and interpersonal maturity are key success factors.
