Boston Strategies International (BSI) is proud to be leading three professional association activities that will shape the future of the electricity value chain. These activities are featured below.

North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Supply Chain Cyber-Security Task Force

BSI is leading an effort to draft guidelines that help electric utilities conform to NERC’s Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP)-013 standard.

The CIP-013 standard mitigates cyber-security risks to the reliable operation of the Bulk Electric System (BES) by implementing security controls for supply chain risk management of BES Cyber Systems.

Our work is focus on defining threat prevention and mitigation actions that reduce the risk and severity of malicious and inadvertent introduction of malware into BES systems from suppliers and their sub-suppliers around the world.
