Operations Design and Performance Management Expert

David Jacoby has been consulting for over 25 years in operations strategy, of which the last eight have focused on the oil, gas, and power industries. He wrote Optimal Supply Chain Management in Oil, Gas, and Power Generation (PennWell, 2012) and The Guide to Supply Chain Management (The Economist, 2009). He has taught Operations Management at Boston University's Graduate School of Business and served as a Contributing Editor for the Economist Intelligence Unit. Anthony Davis
Strategy Consultant and M&A Advisor

Tony has over 25 years of strategy consulting experience covering 40 countries, including significant experience in oil and gas, wind power, climate change and renewable energy. He has worked on national level policy development and regulation, including serving as Interim Director at the Carbon Trust and the UK Strategic Rail Authority (SRA), and he has also provided comprehensive bid support to Siemens for a 30year contract for the design/build and maintenance of over £1bn worth of heavy equipment. Ibrahim Al-Mubayadh spent 25 years at Saudi Aramco in Purchasing and Materials Management. He introduced new supply chain models to Saudi Arabian suppliers, including the “stocker-distributor” program for Electrical, Instrumentation & IT suppliers. Jane Sadowsky
Corporate and Project Finance and Strategy Advisor

Jane Sadowsky facilitates financing for energy and power companies and their major capital projects. She most recently built and led the Power and Utility M&A and advisory practice as a Senior Managing Director for Evercore Partners, for six years. Prior to joining Evercore, she was at Citigroup’s investment bank where she was a Managing Director and the Co-Head of North American Power investment banking. Thomas Sifferman, PhD
Exploration & Production Expert

Tom has 40 years of experience in drilling, completions, and production, with a specialization in asphaltene testing, wax and hydrates. Tom’s career includes research positions at ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips, Flow Assurance at Clariant and New Technology Management at Shrieve Chemical. He has authored over 30 scholarly papers and holds 15 US patents, including three related to heavy crudes. Erik Halbert
Principal Project Manager

Erik Halbert is responsible for executing consulting projects related to supply chain management, operations improvement, and technology leadership. Erik manages dozens of projects each year, including a recent strategic sourcing program that reduced investment by 22%, and a series of technology benchmarking projects that identified immediate savings opportunities by changing refinery catalysts and upgrading processes for treating sour natural gas. Erik also led BSI’s state of supply chain study, which recommended ways for process manufacturers to handle volatile energy prices. Alok Raj Gupta

Energy Markets Economist


Alok, who heads BSI’s New Delhi office, specializes in the economics of energy supply markets, with a focus on economic modeling and supply market analysis. He has served BSI’s major oil, gas, and power clients worldwide, primarily in Europe, the Middle East, Russia, and the Americas. Alok has extensive project experience in oil and gas pricing, renewable energy projects, and environment and climate change policies. He holds an M.S. in Economics from TERI University. Ahmad El Nashar
Change Management Consultant

Ahmad el Nashar is a broad-based management consultant with a focus on implementing organizational, process, and strategic change. He designs, develops, and implements organizational initiatives that reinforce BSI’s transformation programs, and ensures knowledge transfer from BSI to client teams. He has delivered more than 1,000 hours of coaching at the executive and middle management levels. Ana analyzes the technical feasibility and economic viability of capital investments and energy efficiency projects. Her multidisciplinary engineering, economics, and business education and consulting background help her assess the future of emerging technologies from all angles. She holds a Master’s degree in Management and Engineering of Environment and Energy from a joint program of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain), École des Mines de Nantes (France), and Royal Institute of Technology-KTH (Sweden). He was formerly President of Honeywell Hi Spec and Profimatics and before that spent six years as a Process Engineer at Chevron.
